While the recent news of the Anheuser-Busch purchase of Wicked Weed has stirred up mixed opinions, there’s no denying they produce top quality beers. This gem of a brewery from Asheville, NC, started brewing just a few years back in 2012. Founded by Walt and Luke Dickinson, and lifelong friends Ryan, Rick and Denise Guthy, Wicked Weed has created more than 500 different beers since opening. Starting with clean West Coast IPAs and authentic Belgian ales, Wicked Weed has progressively moved into creating some of the best sour beers around.
Now, Wicked Weed is widely known for their West Coast style IPAs including Great American Beer Festival silver medal winners Pernicious IPA, Lunatic Belgian Blonde and a wide range of award winning barrel-aged sour and farmhouse ales.
