We asked our spirits guru, Rachel for her pick to sip this Thanksgiving. Start some new holiday traditions with Cathead Old Soul Bourbon.
After a solid several years making other delicious liquor (the Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur being a personal favorite of mine), Cathead has expanded into bourbon with the new Old Soul. Combining MGP sourced bourbon of various ages with the first of their own distilled product – a mix that it discloses on its packaging – it’s a young bourbon that is still surprisingly light and citrusy. Although it’s a little hot at 90 proof, I think it would do well in any bourbon cocktails, but would also be totally drinkable over ice or even neat. I’m excited to support a small distillery doing interesting things.
