Some of the crew headed up to Kentucky last month to pick out a very special barrel of Four Roses Bourbon for our store! After a tour of the distillery, they went through a rigorous tasting session (tough job right?) and came up with the perfect selection:
Four Roses Single Barrel Cask Strength: aged 9 1/2 years. 
- O = Four Roses Distillery
- E = Mash bill of 75% corn, 20% rye, 5% malted barley
- S = Straight Whiskey
- K = Yeast strain yielding a slight spice
- Nose: Caramel, spice, and oak
- Taste: Orange zest, dried fruit, honeycomb and a great mouthfeel
- Finish: Medium length, oak, caramel and cinnamon spice
This bourbon will be available at Bottles Mt. Pleasant and Bottles Columbia ONLY and when it’s gone, it’s gone! We should have a release date sometime before Thanksgiving, so make sure you follow us on social media so you don’t miss it!
But it can’t be all work and no play when in Bourbon Country right? The team also got to check out the Old Forester Distillery while in Kentucky (and yes, taste more bourbon of course.) 
Our Business Manager, Holly actually got to push the button to fire the barrel- which was very exciting for her because she is usually putting fires out, not starting them.
