With our new series, “Dave’s Top Wine Deals,” our wine manager Dave Bishop is sharing some great wines at even better prices. Check out his top picks for September below!
Louis Martini AV Cabernet Sauvignon ($29.99, save $12)
Cabernet Sauvignon with a hint of Petite Syrah, this full bodied wine has a dense ruby color with notes of tobacco, black currants and black cherries. — 97 points, Robert Parker
Longboard Point Break Red Blend ($17.99, save $3)
Cabernet Sauvignon provides a solid backbone with black currant notes, while Merlot and Malbec offer velvety texture and notes of blackberry and spice. A hint of Syrah and Zinfandel finish off this easy drinking, well rounded blend.
Left Coast White Pinot Noir ($19.99, save $4)
The mini-trend to making white Pinot Noir is taking off in Oregon, and the wines get better with each new vintage. There’s not a trace of color here, but plenty of flavor, headed with chunky apple and white peach fruit. Overall fruit-forward describes this best, with the body of a good stainless Chardonnay.
Casal Garcia Vinho Verde ($7.99, save $3)
This is classic, off-dry Vinho Verde. With a light, crisp fruit flavor with tangy notes of lemon and lime, this is a refreshing, light wine.
Cheers!
