These easy cocktail recipes will have the crowd cheering at your Super Bowl party!
Gatorade Margaritas
Ingredients:
1/4 cup blue sanding sugar
1/4 cup kosher salt
One 20-ounce bottle blue sports drink, such as Cool Blue Gatorade ®, chilled
1 cup thawed frozen limeade concentrate
1 cup silver tequila
1/3 cup blue curacao
Fresh orange slices, for serving
Directions:
Mix the sugar and salt in a shallow dish. Wet the rims of 4 to 6 rocks glasses with water and then dip in the sugar-salt mixture to coat.
Combine the sports drink, limeade concentrate, tequila and blue curacao in a large pitcher and stir. Fill the rocks glasses with ice, pour the margarita over and garnish each with an orange slice.
Super Bowl Punch
Ingredients:
1 liter vodka
Three 12-ounce bottles beer (recommended: Corona)
Three 6-ounce containers frozen limeade, thawed
Three 1-liter bottles club soda
3 limes, sliced into wheels
Ice, for serving
Lime wedges, for garnish
Directions:
Add the vodka, beer, limeade, and club soda to a large serving container and mix well. Add lime wheels and pour into tall tumblers filled with ice. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and serve.
Michelada Supreme
Ingredients:
12 ounces tomato juice
Juice of 6 limes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
6 dashes fish sauce
6 dashes hot sauce, such as Cholula
1/4 cup coarse salt
2 tablespoons chile powder
1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
Ice
4 bottles dark Mexican beer, such as Negra Modelo
Lime wedges, for garnish
Directions:
In a blender, combine the tomato juice, lime juice, Worcestershire, fish sauce and hot sauce, and blend until smooth. Mix the salt, chili powder and cilantro, and coat the rim of 4 glasses. Fill the glasses with ice. Fill each glass one-quarter full with the tomato mixture, and then fill the remainder with the beer. Give it a light stir and serve with a lime wedge and a platter of pork.
Remember, the liquor side of the stores is closed on Sundays, so make sure you stock up before Game Day!
