Italian Wine for Summertime

Spend the summer in Italy without ever leaving home with these perfect-for-summer Italian wines.
Centonze Frappato (Sicily)
Winemaker’s notes: “Fruit from vines planted on sandy, calcareous soil was gently crushed, fermented on its skins in stainless steel tanks and aged in tank for four months and in the bottle for four months. Fresh notes of red cherry and currants mingle with bright acidity and spice.”
Carpineto Dogajolo White Toscana (Tuscany)
Winemaker’s notes: “Straw yellow with green highlights. Pleasantly fruity, elegantly aromatic and harmonious bouquet. A medium-bodied white with pleasant citrus aromas and flavors, Carpineto Dogajolo Bianco is a young, fresh wine with a balanced acidity and clean, delicate finish. Produced from estate-grown fruit from the Montepulciano estate, each varietal is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks
Excellent as an aperitif or with typical Mediterranean cuisine, such as salads, pasta, seafood and white meats. Excellent also with flavorful, spicy Asian foods.”
Blend: 40% Chardonnay, 30% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Grechetto
