Organic Spirits

If you’re conscious about the ingredients in your food, clothing, and cleaning supplies, why not your drinks too? Organic spirits benefit you and the environment by eliminating the use of pesticides and fertilizers, using sustainable ingredients, reducing or eliminating additives and chemicals, helping to preserve the natural environment, and in many cases, using locally-grown ingredients.

Casa Noble Tequila was the first tequila to be certified organic by the  CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers). They are also one of only 19 companies in Mexico to be certified by the Mexican Government as a “green operation” for their continued efforts on energy preservation, environmental awareness, and waste management programs. This award-winning brand of premium 100% blue agave tequila is made from estate-grown agaves cooked in traditional stone ovens, naturally fermented and distilled three times.

Currently #1 in organic spirits, Prairie Organic Spirits have a personal relationship with the family-owned farms in Minnesota where their ingredients are harvested. Every batch begins as single vintage organic yellow corn grown without harmful chemicals and GMOs, herbicides and pesticides.  Instead, old-fashioned prairie fires are used to naturally control unwanted weeds.  Because they don’t use harmful pesticides either, they rely on native birds and bats to consume the insect populations, allowing the fields to be the ecosystems that nature intended.

Ocean Organic Vodka is certified organic and is the only vodka in the world distilled from organic sugar cane and blended with deep ocean mineral water collected from 3,000 feet below the Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. How cool is that? As a result, it is also naturally gluten-free. It’s also free from GMOs, herbicides, and pesticides to ensure the cleanest, most refreshing cocktail experience. The state-of-the-art facility on Maui uses solar panels to power the entire farm, and the sugar cane is organically farmed on the rich, volcanic soils.

The benefits of organic spirits are all about looking at the bigger picture. Yes, you may shell out a few more bucks per bottle, but you’re also helping the environment, local farmers, and keeping pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, and other harmful chemicals out of your body. We have several other organic options in the store including beer and wine as well. Come check them out!
