Slam Dunk Jell-O Shots
Yield: 20 shots

Ingredients:
1 packet mango Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
1 cup coconut vodka, chilled
10 clementines (or other small similar citrus), halved
Black decorative edible gel, in a pen applicator

Directions:

  1. Wash the clementines and halve them, slicing from top to bottom. Using a melon baller or a spoon, remove the fruit pulp so you are only leaving the rind behind, and maybe a little bit of the fruit flesh left at the bottom. When you set the rind down onto a plate, it should lay flat without rolling around.
  2. Prepare the mango Jell-O as instructed on the package, but instead replace the 1 cup of water that the Jell-O package calls for with the 1 cup of vodka. You will still need the boiling water for the Jell-O preparation.
  3. Pour the Jell-O mixture into the clementine halves and place them on a tray or plate, and stick them in the fridge for at least four hours, but you can leave them there overnight. We recommend using a pitcher or another container with a spout to do this with a clean pour.
  4. Right before serving, use the black gel to draw lines across the top of the Jell-O to resemble basketballs.
