Ilegal Mezcal is strongly committed to sustainability and biodiversity in the Oaxaca region using 100% natural light and no artificial colors yeasts, flavors, or additives.
Stripped Pig Distillery reduces their carbon footprint by sourcing corn and native heirloom grains from local SC farms and sugar cane from nearby Savannah, Ga. (LOCAL!)
Bacardi Rum started tracking their carbon footprint in 2006, and since then have reduced energy usage by 30%, and water by 54%. Some of their projects have included using wind power, turning old barrels into landscaping mulch, and converting leftover botanicals into fertilizer and livestock bedding.
Makers Mark sources 100% of their corn and wheat from farms located within 30 miles of their Kentucky facility.
